Bio:

Mike has a long history of Mathematics study: GCSE Maths A*, A Level Maths A*, Further Maths A*, Advanced Extension Award, STEP I, Mathematics BSc from the University of Warwick, PGCE in Mathematics Teaching from the University of York and a Chartered Teacher of Mathematics. It is safe to say that Mike has a passion for Mathematics and Education and has thoroughly enjoyed sharing this and inspiring students for over 10 years as a Mathematics Teacher.

Mike has both taught classes and privately tutored students from age 11 to 18 through GCSEs, IGCSEs, every A Level exam board in UK schools, and international schools across Vietnam and Japan. Mike also brings his experience as a GCSE Mathematics Examiner, using his experience marking tens of thousands of questions to help students master their exam technique and prepare them to achieve the best grades possible. He believes in fostering students highest potential with care and enthusiasm, developing their curiosity and honing their mathematical skills and problem-solving instincts with research-informed teaching strategies.

Beyond teaching, Mike is an avid skier and Level 1 Ski Instructor, board game enthusiast, Japanese language studier, philosophy ponderer, and worldwide traveller.
