Lillian

Georgia Institute of Technology
(Online & In-Person)

Bio:

Lillian graduated with Highest Honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning a B.S. in Physics with a concentration in Astrophysics and a minor in Japanese. At Cambridge High School in Georgia, she maintained a near-perfect GPA, was awarded the Georgia Certificate of Merit, and recognized as an AP® Scholar with Honor. She passed five AP® exams, with her favorites being AP® World History and AP® Psychology, which deepened her appreciation for culture, society, and human behavior. When COVID-19 disrupted traditional learning, Lillian accelerated her academic path by self-studying Precalculus over the summer and skipped directly into AP® Calculus BC without taking AB, and later chose to graduate a year early by combining dual enrollment college courses with AP® classes. During high school, she was also active beyond the classroom, running as a sprinter on the Track & Field team and competing on the Math Team.

At Georgia Tech, she distinguished herself in advanced physics coursework, her favorites including Electrodynamics, Relativity, and Modern Optics. Alongside her physics studies, she pursued her interest in technology and design, gaining experience in UX/UI through start-up internships and completing Google’s UX Design professional certifications. This blend of science and creativity reflects her adaptable and well-rounded approach to learning.

Having personally navigated rigorous curricula and accelerated academic transitions, Lillian connects deeply with students facing academic pressure or fast-paced learning. She strives to make complex concepts approachable and believes that encouragement and clarity can transform a student’s confidence.

Beyond academics, Lillian has a lifelong background in dance, ranging from Chinese classical and traditional to contemporary, hip hop, and choreography. Fluent in English and Mandarin, she brings a cross-cultural perspective and a creative spirit to her teaching. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, browsing bookstores, listening to music, collecting CDs, and exploring unique local spots.
