Bio:

Ena graduated from Seisen International School in Tokyo, where she completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program. This experience gave her a global perspective on education and a deep understanding of the challenges international school students face. After high school, she attended community college, earning a 4.0 GPA, before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in Biology. Even before beginning at UNC, Ena was chosen as a Science Enrichment Preparation (S.E.P.) Scholar, a competitive eight-week honors program that included over 150 hours of advanced coursework in subjects like organic chemistry, human physiology, and quantitative skills, as well as career exposure to the health sciences. She was also selected into UNC’s C-STEP (Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program), which supports high-achieving transfer students and offers a co-admissions pathway to UNC. During her time at UNC, Ena also studied abroad at the University of Melbourne, further expanding her academic and cultural perspective.

Since 2022, Ena has tutored students from kindergarten through high school in math, science, English, reading, and test preparation. She believes learning flourishes when students feel comfortable making mistakes, so her philosophy is to create a supportive environment where each learner can embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Whether she is helping a student strengthen fundamental math skills, build confidence in science, or prepare for standardized tests, Ena adapts to each learner’s needs with patience, kindness, and encouragement.

Her work as a caregiver—particularly with individuals with special needs—has reinforced her empathy, flexibility, and ability to celebrate progress in all forms. These qualities shape her tutoring approach, as she strives not only to help students achieve academically but also to grow in confidence, resilience, and curiosity.

Outside of academics, Ena enjoys coaching tennis, playing volleyball, traveling, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. She brings this openness and creativity into every session, empowering students to feel capable, motivated, and proud of their learning journey.
