Bio:

Adhar “Addy” is a doctoral researcher in the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo. His work in network analysis and transportation engineering is supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). His research spans multiple STEM domains and extends into finance and economics, reflecting a cross disciplinary approach to understanding how complex systems move people, goods, and ideas. Alongside his research, Addy teaches at an international school in Tokyo and contributes to curriculum design across subjects and grade levels. He is a candidate in the University of Tokyo’s Future Faculty Development Program (FFDP), where he focuses on evidence based and scalable curriculum development for diverse learners.

Addy scored in the 99th percentile on ACT Math and consistently earned the highest grades in mathematics throughout his engineering studies. He thrives at the intersection of teaching, learning, and research, which he views not as work but as a source of curiosity and joy. While the demands can be physically tiring, he believes intellectual energy renews itself when guided by purpose and a commitment to serving students and society.
