(Online & In-person)

Bio:

Millie graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2020 with a First Class BA in English Literature. While at Cambridge, she also devoted time to her interest in politics, serving as Editor-in-Chief of a current affairs publication and composing speaking panels for a non-partisan politics society, inviting prominent UK politicians, journalists, and academics.

For the past two years, she has been completing her MA in Global Society from the University of Tokyo, writing a thesis on the concept of world literature in a ‘globalized’ age. During this time, she has also been working in an eikaiwa teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities. She has helped students prepare for international travel and business presentations, as well as improved students’ scores and confidence in Eiken and IELTS. In the UK, Millie volunteered her time tutoring underachieving students in middle and high school. During these sessions, she supported students to complete and improve their school work, and helped them to improve their overall fundamental literacy and comprehension skills.

Outside of work, Millie is passionate about art and literature. She spends much of her free time reading novels and is always hoping to find someone to talk to about Henry James. If she’s not reading, she enjoys brushing up on French or studying for the JLPT N2. On sunny days, she enjoys walking around and exploring Tokyo.
