Bio:

Dash grew up in Portland, Oregon with stints in India and the UK. He took the A Levels in high school and went on to double major in CS and Physics. He completed his Masters in Astrophysics at the University of Heidelberg in 2017. He then interned at NASA and was also a team member of the Event Horizon Telescope project. Dash was part of the team that captured the first-ever picture of a Black Hole. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Tokyo and works at the edge of Machine Learning and Astrophysics.

He has served as a teaching Assistant for Introduction to Machine Learning and Computational Astrophysics courses over several semesters. He also has a ton of competitive coding experience in ML/AI. He also has been teaching programming to High School and Middle School students at Tokyo Coding Club for the last three years. Along with that, he has been helping high school students with research projects at TA.

When not researching, Dash works on freelance software development and does photography. He also plays tennis and joins local competitions while being a huge winter sports person.
