Darren graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2015.
During his undergraduate years, he participated in a work-study program with the Institute for School Partnership of WashU, developing educational materials for K-12 students and providing feedback to their teachers. In his spare time, he served as a peer tutor for undergraduate biology.
After graduating, he spent three years in academic research on cell biology and immunology, including COVID-19 vaccination. During these years he published two academic papers, and currently, Darren is pursuing graduate studies and furthering his research at the University of California, Irvine.
