Bio:

Valeria received her PhD and Master of Arts from the University of Virginia, where she specialized in history, philosophy, and women’s literature. For six years, Valeria taught language, literature, film, and folklore at UVa, where she developed a passion for student guidance and mentorship.

Valeria began her career in international education and college counseling, specializing in using her vast research background and pedagogical methods and approaches to best help students thrive in school and set them up for future success in college, long after their acceptance. Together with her students, Valeria creates comprehensive plans of action that not only aid in the college application process, but also aid students in growing as intellectually curious, confident, and well-rounded individuals. As an experienced academic writer and international conference presenter, Valeria works with her students to achieve exceptional college essays that unfold their unique stories, driving passions, and overarching life goals.

Valeria’s students have been accepted to top universities and programs, including Dartmouth, Cornell University, University of California Los Angeles, Notre Dame, NYU’s Tisch, Carleton College, University of Virginia, University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, and many others.
