Emilia is a writer based in Charleston, South Carolina. During her undergraduate studies at Columbia University and later at a master’s program at the University of Cambridge, Emilia studied American Literature and the canon of Toni Morrison in particular. Inspired by Morrison’s writing, she pursued a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at The New School and completed it in 2018. Currently, when she’s not working on her novel, Emilia serves as Associate Director of the financial services nonprofit Trusts for All Children, which is dedicated to starting trust funds for every child and reducing poverty worldwide. In her spare time she enjoys bike riding, beach trips, and making 90s playlists.
