Tyus Sheriff is an undergraduate student at Yale University majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. He has over four years of tutoring experience and enjoys working on educational policies and initiatives. Tyus graduated the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with Bilingual Diploma distinction and level 7 scores across all of his Higher Level (HL) subjects. Additionally, he scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT with a perfect score in Reading and Writing.
Tyus has taught middle and high school students in IB MYP Math, English, HL History, and SAT Reading, Writing, and Math. Some of his student outcomes include: average MYP scores from 3 to 6, SAT Math scores from 500 to 650, and IB History scores at the max of 7.
Tyus has also been recognized for his achievements in debating and writing, winning the 2018 World Scholar’s Cup and the Osaka Governor’s Award.
In his spare time, Tyus enjoys cooking, reading about politics, and finding new podcasts.
