In high school, Marigold scored in the 99th percentile on both the SAT and ACT, was an AP Scholar with Distinction, and received a National Merit Scholarship. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering and a Masters in Industrial Engineering. She was on the Dean’s List for six semesters of undergraduate studies and graduated with honors, Tau Beta Pi. Marigold focused her graduate thesis on the field of Engineering Education, with a specific look at the identity of college freshmen in engineering. One of her biggest passions is combining the fields of pedagogy and STEM.
After two years of teaching undergraduate courses at the University, Marigold moved to Japan where she has worked as a full-time Math and Science teacher and a part-time Test Prep Instructor. At Tokyo Academics, Marigold works with a wide range of students and subjects. Beyond math and science, she loves learning and teaching history, art, business, and more.
