Bio:

Fumiya graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in biophysics and a minor in Japanese language and culture. He has experience tutoring math and science at the middle and high school level, as well as being a peer facilitator for the undergraduate research opportunities program at the University of Michigan. 

 

In high school, Fumiya scored in the 97th percentile for the ACT, and took several AP courses including biology, physics, calculus AB, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and world history. At the University of Michigan, Fumiya participated in several research projects, including computational chemistry, healthcare engineering, and qualitative analysis of physician transcripts. Scoring in the 97th percentile on the MCAT and graduating as a 5-time recipient of University Honors, Fumiya hopes to attend medical school to pursue an MD in the coming years.
