Elizabeth Feldeverd graduated Cum Laude from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Agriculture and Rural Development. She earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Hawaii in Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering; her thesis research identified a critical pathway in protecting pollen from heat stress due to climate change. She has a variety of teaching experience, including biochemistry laboratory, biotechnology ethics, and applied science communication. At Tokyo Academics, Elizabeth serves as the Director of Research of the Spark Student Research division. She also serves as a director of the International Young Researchers’ Conference, an organization whose mission is to provide a platform for high school researchers to publish and present their works. Outside of work, Elizabeth is the co-founder of Women in Science Japan, a group committed to providing mentorship for girls and women interested in STEM careers in Japan.
