Ben graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018, where he studied History and was a runner-up for the Charlene Conrad Liebau Library Prize for Undergraduate Research. After that, Ben moved to Austria on a two-year fellowship and taught English in small “cow towns” and in Vienna. In total, Ben has been teaching English, History, and mentoring students towards getting into universities for more than five years. Students working with Ben have studied and excelled at top universities in the United States and Europe.
In addition to more than five years of teaching experience, Ben is also a fiction writer. His fiction explores both large-scale and intimate histories of the regions he has lived and worked in. His work has appeared in the literary journals New World Writing and Trafika Europe. Ben also likes Russian saunas and learning new languages, but resents languages with three or more articles.
