Anthea has 12 years experience as a classroom teacher specializing in Humanities. She spent 3 years as the Director of Learning at an independent day school in the heart of London. Before this, she was a Head of Senior School, Head of Humanities, and Teacher of Philosophy & Theology. Anthea has also tutored middle school students in English, Maths, and Reasoning for school entrance exams. With experience of grades 3 to 12, Anthea understands just how students’ knowledge and skills progress over the course of their school careers. As well as school age students, Anthea has taught English as a second language to adults from all over the world, supporting them with preparation for exams such as IELTS.
Anthea qualified with first-class honours from The University of Edinburgh in 2009, before joining the prestigious teaching programme TeachFirst and gaining her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 2011.
Her educational interests are Oracy and Critical Thinking, while in her free time, she enjoys more hands-on activities, such as gardening, cooking, and sewing.
