College Admissions are more competitive than ever.

Most schools saw an increase in applications last year by anywhere from 20-40%. This has reduced admissions percentages across the board:

  • Columbia saw an increase of 20,000 regular decision applicants, reducing their admissions percentage to 3.66%
  • The University of Pennsylvania saw a 23% increase in applications this year, resulting in a 4.71% drop in admissions rate down to 4.68%
  • New York University received over 100,000 applications last year, a 20% increase from the year before.

Each student will construct a personal college application portfolio, which will include:

  • Personal academic and extracurricular profile
  • List of best-match colleges and universities
  • Practice SAT, ACT, and SAT Subject Tests
  • Optimized course schedule for 11th and 12th grade

  • Drafted résumé and admission application essays
  • Recommended future counseling, tutoring, and test

Participants will begin building a list of best-fit universities and colleges to match their current applicant profile while also planning to improve their admission chances for “reach” or dream schools.

Students will learn more about the requisite exams for admissions and practice with sample tests and questions to maximize their scores.

Chat with University Alumni

Students will have opportunities to speak with alumni from Ivy League institutions, prestigious liberal arts schools, and top-tier state universities about college life and the admissions process.

Identify Viable Majors and Careers

Using the research-backed psychological instrument, The Strong Interest Inventory®, students will identify best-fit fields of study, career paths, and relevant, interesting high school coursework.

Plan Out Extracurricular Activities

Students will evaluate current interests and extracurricular involvement, build a unifying application narrative, and identify ideal future summer and extracurricular opportunities.
