Project Description

Elementary Writing

The Elementary Writing course improves students’ narrative writing. Classes will teach how to produce well-developed characters, consistent story arcs, and vivid descriptions. Students will model from examples, brainstorm, produce drafts and learn how to proofread and edit their work. By the end of the program, students will have written their own narrative. Students are expected to complete around 1 hour of homework per day.

  • Recommended for students in Grades 5 and 6.

  • Weekly instruction to the end of the semester.

  • Feedback on grammar, style, structure, and content.
