Lecture Series: An Evening with Dr. Roman Casco

February 26, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm UTC+0

Cellular regeneration is one of the most fascinating aspects of cellular biology. A function that occurs in both animals and humans, regeneration is a quite a peculiar biological process, especially among some species of amphibians. Join us this month for an exclusive talk on the latest research behind limb and eye regeneration in newts!

Speaker bio: Dr. Roman Casco is a published cell biologist whose research explores the molecular mechanisms of tissue regeneration. Using an array of in-silico tools and wet-lab methods, Roman has analyzed large transcriptomic and genomic salamander databases to mine novel genes with potential implications in regeneration.

Lecture topic: Dr. Roman Casco will be lecturing on tissue regeneration in newts, with a focus on the research he has conducted on limb and eye regeneration in particular. He has published multiple papers on the topic.
