Laboratory Open House: The Science of Ice Cream

August 15, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm UTC+0

Join us August 15th at 3:00 pm for a free, hands-on laboratory open house. We’ll explore the science behind ice cream as we make our own delicious dessert together.

Led by our very own Director of Research, Elizabeth Feldeverd, you’ll learn the fundamentals behind what makes some ice cream creamier than others, how different ingredients affect its freezing point and texture, and how the chemical structure of ice and air work in tandem to give you this sweet treat.

After enjoying your homemade ice cream, join us for a tour of our laboratory and learn about our weekly fall science classes for elementary and middle school students.

Open to parents and students of all ages. Registration below.
