College Connection Week: Art Talk – An Info Session

Come join Admissions Director Tyler Kusunoki and TA’s art expert Alexa Gerrity for a conversation around the importance of creativity and art portfolios in the college admissions process. Whether you’re pursuing a degree in fine art/architecture/design, or taking AP/IB art and want to submit a top notch portfolio as part of your application, come and learn from the experts how your creative pursuits can best help you gain a competitive edge.
Alexa Gerrity is an artist, designer and educator with roots in upstate NY and in Viña del Mar, Chile. A presidential scholar at Stanford University, she received a BA in Art History, and in 2009 received an MFA from CalArts. For over a decade, Alexa has worked as a consultant and art educator in the Los Angeles area, working with internationally renowned artists, galleries and private clients. Since joining Tokyo Academics in May, Alexa has worked with several aspiring art and architecture school prospects, going above and beyond to help her students build their portfolios from the ground up.
