Academic English Info Session

Academic English introduces readers of academic text to basic reading strategies such as finding paragraph topics, finding supporting details and learning to read quickly. It features a variety of high interest topics including national borders, names, food, sleep, natural disasters, and music. Students taking this course will be well on their way to the fluency that is required for English competency exams including the PSAT, SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, SSAT, as well as any Boarding School Entrance Examination. Students can expect around 2-3 hours of homework a week.
