Description

Our Sales and Operations Specialist is the first point of contact for all inbound client requests and communications across multiple channels (e-mail, phone, in-person). He or she would be responsible for sales, client care, and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include:

Sales

  • Build new and enhance pre-existing client relationships to find opportunities to support and offer our services 
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, students, tutors, and service leads. 
  • Conduct an initial assessment meeting to identify the client’s needs, design the timeline, and assign an appropriate tutor.
  • Leveraging the internal software to ensure smooth communication with clients & tutors.

Market Research

  • Analyze and act on client trends and profiles. 
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential clients to meet their needs.
  • Track client’s data to monitor and apply pertinent retention strategies of existing customer base.

Day-to-Day Operations

  • Facility Management: Ensure that the office is well maintained and that supplies are timely replenished. 
  • Systems: Use a range of software (Gmail, Freshdesk, Slack, Google sheets, etc.) to ensure prompt follow up w/ clients & tutors. 
  • Arrange schedules for clients and tutors
  • Maintain a positive and client-friendly atmosphere at the office
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above.
  • Language: Business level English or higher and native-level Japanese. 
  • Commitment to Japan for 2-3 yrs. 
  • Familiarity with both Japanese/Foreign working culture. 
  • Has hustle for sales, and commitment to results.
  • Fast, self-starting, organized, detail-oriented, and systematic in order to “get it done”. 
  • Comfortable working through the ambiguity of a growing organization or interested in taking challenges in such an environment. 
  • Good communication skill and interpersonal skill.
  • Valid VISA, or work authorization is required for this position.
